TOKYO ‒ June 12, 2018 – Seven Dreamers (official name: seven dreamers laboratories, inc.; head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shin Sakane), a technology group dedicated to creating totally novel, world-first products, announces that 776 medical institutions throughout Japan now issue prescriptions for its Nastent® nasal cavity insertion device.1

Nastent has gained a large following, with sales of 1.5 million devices2 since its release in July 2014. To promote the safer use of Nastent, it has been necessary since June 2017 for potential users first to consult with a medical institution and use a prescription issued by a physician to use the product and as a result of its efforts to expand the number of medical institutions that can issue prescription slips for Nastent, the number of issuing institutions has risen to 776 nationwide.

Japan’s National Diet recently deliberates a package of work style reforms, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has announced that from June 1, 2018, transport and logistics industry service providers will be required to check that their drivers have had sufficient sleep before allowing them to work. These are just two examples of the way Japan is seeking to change society and institutions so as to promote healthier and more fulfilling lifestyles and work styles. Seven Dreamers developed Nastent to alleviate snoring and other sleep-related breathing symptoms, and is striving to make Nastent broadly available by expanding the number of medical institutions that handle the product and ensuring that consumers can use it with confidence.
